I saw Valentino: The Last Emperor documentry last night. He is so talented. His clothes are works of art. I can only dream of having a gown of his. Now I understand why celebrities love him.

Marilyn memoirs

This is my favorite picture of Marilyn Monroe. She looks so sophisticated and super sexy.

Her life fascinated me. She had a hard childhood and a hard life to boot and still managed to make it big in Hollywood. Unfortunately, her life was too short, she numbed herself with drugs and alcohol and it got the best of her. I can't wait for the book "Fragments" by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux to come out this October. It tells an intimate side of her life and has some of her poetry in it that is supposed to be quite beautiful.

So many dreams...

I have so many aspirations for the future that sometimes I feel like I can't hardly wait. But I have to stop and smell the flowers from time to time. I think our lives are so fast paced that we do things on autopilot. Before you know it time has flown by. We spend so much time at work or doing things to prepare us for the future.

I am hopeful for the future though, a little scared, excited all at the same time. I like the quote on my blog that says "Success is a journey, not a destination."-Ben Sweetland

Venice Beach!

Since I can't make it to my dream Caribbean vacation at this time, I thought I'd hit up a local favorite, Venice Beach!

Here are my two dolls, sister Jackie and my niece Nerissa posing against Muscle Beach. There are some serious weight lifters there I tell you what!

Jackie wanted a Henna tattoo. Hey at least it's not permanent!

She chose this pretty Coi fish!

Jackie also got a hairwrap! I think it looks awesome!

There was this band playing there and the singer looked and sounded like Jimi Hendrix! So of course we had to tip the band for making a great effort!

It was cold and cloudy but we couldn't resist the ocean calling us!

I love this picture! The silhouette of the girls and the ocean background is beautiful.

Finally the sun came out so I took a shot of myself because I was sooo happy and warm!

We rented some bikes and rode for an hour along the busy bike path! It was the highlight of the day for me!

We rode all the way to Santa Monica, past the pier. It was a perfect day!!! I love hanging out with my cute chickidees!

Clear waters still on my mind

The clear, sunny weather is making me want to escape to a crystal clear beach.

I would love to stay in one of these huts on the water with a glass bottom so I can see some tropical fish come by!

And of course a trip cannot be complete without a cocktail!

I had a dream

I had the most vivid dream last night. It was sometime in the future. I was dressed really nice and so was Dave. My house was gorgeous, with glass windows everywhere. My furniture was really nice, I remember seeing lots of clear glass tables. Looking outside my window was a nice view of gardens. It was modern home.

I looked down on the sofa and there was the most beautiful baby girl I've ever seen. She was mine I knew that much. And Dave and I were just admiring her, she was a smiley, happy baby. Then I woke up. But I didn't feel sad that it wasn't true, it gave me hope.
